3.2.1 - Rock The Ruff Rapps - 1994

12" - 1994 - Hard Life Records

3.2.1 was a group from Staten Island NY. Group members were Cisco (now known as Chedda Bang) and Drew Black (now known as Pressie the Don). They released their first and only 12-Inches called "Rock the Ruff Rapps" on Hard Life Records circa '94. The Record Label was managed by Kool Kim, member of the group the UMC's, who also produced the single.

One of my favorite (and mostly unknown) records of that time period. I had a dub of it for years before I was finally able to track it down and acquire it from a guy in Japan in the early 2000's. A shame it's the only thing they ever put out, and their only appearance on anything outside of a track on the 2nd UMC's record.

    1. Peace fam.. sorry I'm just seeing this..
This is Kool Kim, so to answer... it really amounted to not having the wherewithal to push the project, $$$$ and of course you got young cats that really don't know what to do with the opportunity.. so it kinda just fizzled away.
I think had it been in the Internet Age we would have had multiple products cause we mad MAD music.. man i wish i still had the old tapes.. cause them shits were FIRE... but u know.. such is life.
