Here is an interesting little instrumental project coming from the UK entitled "01706 Doggaz". You will definitely like it if you enjoy old Boom Bap productions !
"01706 Doggaz" is a project started by Rochdale Beat Makers .Fuelh and Dooku. 01706 is the telephone area code for Rochdale (a town in Greater Manchester) and Doggaz is a term of endearment that the local skateboarding community uses towards each other (the town Rochdale also gets called "Dogdale" by a lot of the locals too).
The EP Name "7 Sistaz" is a reference to the 7 block of flats in Rochdale Town Center. The flats even get called "The Seven Sisters" by all the locals in Rochdale and a lot of the surrounding areas too. According to .Fuelh it's a local Landmark, when you see the seven sisters, you know that you're nearly home in good old Dogdale !
The EP will consist of 7 tracks, each one named after one of the blocks of flats that make up the 7 Sistaz : Underwood - Holland Rise - Tentercroft - Mardyke - Mitchel Hey - Dunkirk Rise & Town Mill Brow.
Only 4 tracks are available online for now but the other tracks will come soon. They don't have any plans to do any physical releases right now, but if enough interest is shown and people like what they dropping then they will try get their hands on some Physicals to sell...
