Here is the debut 12" released in 1996 by 4 Horsemen, a group from Brooklyn comprised of 4 members named RBH a.k.a Rhymes Brought Hard, Strong Mc, Base a.k.a Base Brolic and Fever. They are all from the same neighborhood, Avenue Krack (Flatbush, Brooklyn).
The 12" was released on the small indie record label called All Kind Coundz (managed by Base or Strong Mc) and consists of 2 tracks : "Crime" (Dirty & Clean version) produced by 4 Horsemen on the A-side and "WeedSkillz" (Dirty & Instrumental version) co-produced by Dirty Rat a.k.a Ric Raticus on the B-side. Ric Raticus produced the beat and mixed the song. This song was made way before 4 Horsemen came together. It was such a hood classic they decided to press in on the 4 Horsemen single.
Regarding 4 Horsemen they did have an album worth of material, but it's till unreleased. For the info, Rhymes Brought Hard was also a member of the group Da Shaüp Productions, a group founded by Ric Raticus in the mid-90s. They also released a single called "Pen and Pad" / "Catastrophe" in 1996, and from what I know there is a whole unreleased album with the three emcees (Rhymes Brought Hard, Sureel & Bare Da Savage) somewhere in Ric Raticus's stash... so fingers crossed to see all this stuff coming out one day !
Here is an episode of the Future Flavas Radio Show with Marley Marl and Pete Rock aired on January 29, 1995 on Hot97. It was uploaded by DJ Eclipse a long time ago but I forgot to blog it. Peace

Let's talk about this very rare wax coming straight from Houston,TX which definitely sounds like something from the East Coast. It was released in 1995 by Masta Mindz, a hip-hop duo comprised of Mr. AGG a.k.a Tha' Joker and Sadik a.k.a Tha' Riddler.
Mr. AGG is originally from Indiana, then moved to Houston, TX at a young age and Sadik was born and raised in the neighborhood of Third Ward, Houston, TX.
They met back in high school in 1987, freestyling and beat boxing after school. Mr AGG liked the way Sadik beat boxed and Sadik told him "I make beats too !!"... From there it was on and popping. They were known as the Rebel Alliance then, but by the early 90's they changed the name to Masta Mindz.
Sadik started producing, seriously at 17. His influences at that time were Public Enemy, Rakim, NWA, Geto Boys, Big Daddy Kane, BDP, ATCQ. Moving towards the early 90's, they looking at Gang Starr, Pharcyde, EPMD, WU-TANG...
All the tracks of the wax "Kut Throat Operation", "Off Wit Ya Hed", and "How Tight?" are produced by Sadik and credited under the name BMK Productions which stands for Bringing Mad KAOS Productions. For the info, the original version of "How Tight?" was produced in 1992.
No more tracks were released after the 12" at that time. Independent label contract disputes, poor management and the incarceration of Mr. Agg prevented them from finishing a full album. So with that, Sadik concentrated mostly on production and beatmaking for local artists. Later Sadik & Tha' Joker also known as Darius M. Slaughter formed another group called "Arcane Asylum".

"Ready Ta Roll was a 90’s hip hop group from Jersey City, NJ. Mark “M.C. Supreme” Curry (Rapper/Producer) , Eric “Tysheen” Freeman (DJ), Christopher “Rizzo” Warren (Hype-Man) & Joseph “Music Maestro J-Rule” Jenkins (Producer) released several singles including underground classics “The Real Hip Hop” & “Drug Game” between 1993 & 1994. The group’s single “Drug Game” was recognized by The Source magazine with a powerful write up praising them for the songs socially conscious lyrics. The music video was shot by then up and coming video director Hype Williams and debuted on Ralph McDaniel’ Video Music Box as well as Bet’s Rap City. The group parted ways in the late 90’s and Supreme who later changed his name to Chop Diesel went on to form a production collective called “The Dream Team”. I wish I could explain how the group Hardway, a New Jersey-based Rap duo comprised of James Pullam and Kevin Artis, was signed to Whirling Records, a record label based in Miami Florida which was originally specialized in Trance & House music. "Rhythm In Deep Evolution / One Time" was the first hip-hop 12" released by this label in 1997.
The A-side of the wax contains the song "Rhythm In Deep Evolution" and the B-side (Whirling side) contains the song "One Time". Both songs are available in their Club Mix, Radio Edit and Instrumental versions. It's rare to see this wax for sale, so if you're lucky enough to find a copy, don't hesitate to buy it !
