4 Horsemen - Crime / WeedSkillz - 1996

12" - 1996 - All Kind Coundz

Here is the debut 12" released in 1996 by 4 Horsemen, a group from Brooklyn comprised of 4 members named RBH a.k.a Rhymes Brought Hard, Strong Mc, Base a.k.a Base Brolic and Fever. They are all from the same neighborhood, Avenue Krack (Flatbush, Brooklyn).

The 12" was released on the small indie record label called All Kind Coundz (managed by Base or Strong Mc) and consists of 2 tracks : "Crime" (Dirty & Clean version) produced by 4 Horsemen on the A-side and "WeedSkillz" (Dirty & Instrumental version) co-produced by Dirty Rat a.k.a Ric Raticus on the B-side. Ric Raticus produced the beat and mixed the song. This song was made way before 4 Horsemen came together. It was such a hood classic they decided to press in on the 4 Horsemen single.

Regarding 4 Horsemen they did have an album worth of material, but it's till unreleased. For the info, Rhymes Brought Hard was also a member of the group Da Shaüp Productions, a group founded by Ric Raticus in the mid-90s. They also released a single called "Pen and Pad" / "Catastrophe" in 1996, and from what I know there is a whole unreleased album with the three emcees (Rhymes Brought Hard, Sureel & Bare Da Savage) somewhere in Ric Raticus's stash... so fingers crossed to see all this stuff coming out one day !
