Pauly Paps - War Scarz - 1997

12" - 1997 - Kruppt Records

The single "War Scarz" came out in 1997 ... It was released by Paul Johnson a/k/a Paulie Papers a/k/a Pauly Paps, an emcee born in Brooklyn New York and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Kruppt Records was managed by Tim Winn who ran the whole company. Tim has been Pauly's friend since day one... they grew up together and used to hustle together.
The track was produced by Melvin Jacobs a.k.a King James II who used a sample of the song "Need to Be Needed" performed by Quincy Jones, from the Local Man original soundtrack album released in 1969.

LP - 1969 - UNI Records

On The A-side of the wax, you can listen to a song titled "Thuz 3 Wishz" from the group Da Rail Black. It was also produced by King James II... the track is good but I don't have no more info about this group sorry ....
