Crown Jewels & Godfather Don - ’97 Stretch & Bobbito Freestyle - WKCR
Here is a freestyle session aired on March 27th 1997 on WKCR. The guests that night were the legendary Godfather Don, and Crown Jewels a duo consisted of Abdul & Mike L from Flatbush. The first 17 minutes consist of the Freestyle (Godfather Don starts at 6:20) and the last 11 minutes are Godfather Don talking with Stretch & Bob.

"The Connect EP is a collaborative project between Canadian emcee, Es and United Kingdom DJ/Producer/Engineer, DJ Pandamonium. The two connected via a DJ Pandamonium post on a Facebook hiphop group page which caught Es’ attention. The two would eventually connect, get better acquainted with each other’s musical prowess, and the rest, you can say is history. This 6 track EP came together within a few months and showcases their mutual love for true school inspired boom bap hiphop. From two different continents, hiphop was the connecting force. Here is a very good wax for your Sunday and the end of your weekend ... it was released in 1992 by a group named 4 Deep from Flushing, Queens. The group consisted of 4 members : Tek9, Chyskillz (the legendary producer of the first Onyx album) and 2 other unknown members to me... please feel free to help if you've got some info about them !
The EP consists of 4 tracks titled "Soft Sucka Rap" which is the lead single, "All About Murder", "For The Money" and "I'm All That", fully produced by Chyskillz RIP. By the way you would definitely recognize some samples used for Onyx one year later.
The 12" was released on Goldfinger Records, which was originally a Dancehall Label from Jamaica, Queens managed and owned by Michael Arnold a/k/a Goldfinger.
