First and only 12" dropped by the Boston-based group Urban Godz which was comprised of Lord Duice, Lion Man, Jal Mil and K-Auss. The wax is composed of two tracks "Close to the Edge" featuring Lord Duice and "Chin Checkin" featuring Lion Man, Jal Mil and Lord Duice. Both tracks are available in their Explicit versions on the A-side and in their Radio versions on the B-side. The wax came out in 1993 on Capture Records, with all the productions handled by K-Auss.
No info about Lion Man, Jal Mil and the producer K-Auss. From what I know about Lord Duice, he was from Hyde Park, Boston, Ma. I think we didn't hear more about this group after the wax release because Lord Duice spent 5 years in prison and in 2000 he is one of hundreds of Haitian immigrants in the U.S who have been sent back to Haiti, after Congress passed a get-tough measure to deport immigrants convicted of serious crimes. An article has been written about that story in The Boston Globe from October 19, 2000.
