The Mississauga-based artist ES is back with his fourth project which was inspired by this gift and curse that we call social media.

"It is one of those "look in the mirror" type projects where I could be talking about you...and me. But it's all love though. Self reflection isn't necessarily a bad thing. Social media seems to bring out the best and the worst in people. People use the platforms for different reasons. Whether casual user, fan, artist, consumer or business owner, the way we interact with one another on and off this platform is an interesting phenomenon. I couldn’t help but be inspired by what I see pretty much daily on my feeds on these platforms. It is for this reason I decided to start off this multi-part series with the first installment entitled “Social Meteor Vol 1: Inspired By My Timeline”. Once again, it is a labour of love coming from me to you. Enjoy!" - ES

"Super-groups are such a rarity in this current generation of hip-hop. Groups like Pro Era that seemingly looked to carry the torch, split up to go in their own directions. Nowadays when groups of artists come together it’s more to bounce off the hype of each other in a pursuit of solo success. Not in the case of Baltimore hip-hop group TheNASA8, who have been childhood friends for years. Their activity spans over six years of work and discography stretches over 50 projects. TheNASA8 deviates from what we usually see from a group in that they pride themselves on being able to create a myriad of sounds and never sticking to one lane. The group’s evolution over time shines in their new collective album “Conviction Arc”.

TheNasa8 consists of Bito Sureiya, Tislam the Great, Jiro Sama, Opo Ra, Varth Dader & Ale, From Summerclub. A good portion of the production comes from in-house too, HippuHoppuOtaku, God Sense Beats, DK The Punisher, Tek.Lun all provide luscious, atmospheric thumpers on this album. Influences span the entire universe, underground, trap, electronic, grime it’s all here. This may be your introduction to the internationally based super-group, however the minute you press play you’ll immediately hear the chemistry and showmanship the group has built up. They’re no longer young upstarts trying to break into the industry, TheNasa8 is now a group of veterans that have a body of work under them, performance chops and a number of hits. The “Conviction Arc” album is a testament and embodiment of the years of work this group of artists has put in." - The Nasa8

"Born in Philly and raised in Montclair New Jersey, The Custodian of Records is involved into many projects with prominent artists from the underground ”new wave boom bap” scene.
Sitting on a large collection of vinyls for over 20 years and finding his influences from legendary producers like Large Professor, DJ Premier, Prince Paul, The famous Public Enemy production team “The Bomb Squad”, DJ Muggs from Cypress Hill and The RZA from the Wu-Tang, The Custodian cooked up some dope beats with soulful samples and drum breaks with his cherished Akaï MPC2000XL and E-mu SP-12.
Freshly homemade with ingredients from real vinyl samples so no “YouTube shit” like he says.
A selection of 12 tracks made it to his compilation album called “The Sampler Platter”.
The sound reflects perfectly what the Custodian stands for. The album features Estee Nack of Tragic Allies, Vic Spencer, Daniel Son, Milano Constantine (of the D.I.T.C. crew), Flashius Clayton, Sleep Sinatra, Fla-Fla of Sparrow The Movement, Chuck N Lock and SCVTTERBRVIN to name of few." - Taha Records
