12" - 1995 - Blacklist Music
UBAD was a Toronto-based group formed by Ebony, Rugged Man, Tyson, Groovy D and DJ Power. Their debut single "The Legacy" came out on Blacklist Records in 1995. The single was nominated in the Best Rap Recording section at the Juno Awards in 1996, but the winner was Ghetto Concept with "E-Z On Tha Motion".
The wax is composed of 3 tracks "The Legacy" produced by Tyson who used a sample of "Autumn In New York" performed by Ahmad Jamal, "Rugged & Nasty" feat Nasty Howie aka Nas-T-Howie, and "Life's Gettin' Rough" produced by DJ Power. Around '94-'95, Tyson and Power worked for The Masterplan Radio Show aired on CIUT 89.5 FM in Toronto.
