Radio Show : Raw Deal - June 25, 1992 - WPRB

Here is a Raw Deal radio show aired on June 25th 1992 on 103.3 WPRB, Princeton University's student-run community radio station. The show was uploaded by Laze on Hip-Hop Radio Archive.

"Tom Fitzhugh of Paradigm Enterprises is in the house with t-shirts that G is flipping over. Tone rolls through an already-full studio to heavily promote the upcoming Crusaders for Real Hip-Hop album. He explains the album title and shouts out Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy while also noting that they are an entirely different group.

Later in the show, with Jay-Ski and Eazy ready to roll out of the studio. G says he’s sticking around for a while to wait for Money Moses and Lamar, who show up one break later to discuss goings-on in hip-hop including Eazy-E showing up in New York with bodyguards and Tim Dog calling him out, Delicious Vinyl’s signing of “a new group called The Pharcyde,” and G’s upcoming trip to Stretch & Bobbito’s show. This is one of those good “time capsule” episodes, hearing what was being discussed in hip-hop at the time.

This show is dated at June 25 because of a reference to the New Music Seminar being the previous week (which ran from June 17-21) , an ad for the Flavor Unit Tour at the Meadowlands which happened on June 27, and other mentions about “this Saturday, June 27.”" - courtesy of Laze

Radio Show : Raw Deal - December 10, 1992 - WPRB

"This one starts at about 9:30pm. The studio was packed full of guests, including Mario Rosemont (host of the “In Tune” video show in Plainfield, NJ), Dr. Z, DJ Kam, Courageous Chief (aka “Horrendous Teeth” according to G), Awol, a boisterous Tony D (fresh from the studio having recording some new tracks with the Poor Righteous Teachers), the Hillbillies (“straight out of Muck Holly”… and seriously, does no one remember “Bottom of the Hamper Jam”?), and others.
Perhaps the main reason to check this one out is the primary in-studio guest: a 23-year-old Apache (RIP). “Gangsta Bitch” had just hit and the album (Apache Ain’t Shit) was on the way. It’s kind of strange to come across this particular unlabeled tape so shortly after Apache’s death.
In addition to the typical “what’s up with your album”-type questions, we find out important things like Apache’s favorite ice cream flavor and how he knows “this thing ain’t gonna last” because he doesn’t like “industry people.”
Side D features a great Thursday Night Live session with DJ Kam on the wheels. The show features music from Cutty Ranks, Show and AG, Positive K, Heather B, Main Source, Chubb Rock, Das EFX, Grand Puba, Ice Cube, Diamond D, and The Funk Family." - Laze
