"TriFe & D-Mob are a hip-hop duo from the Bronx, New York, who emerged from the city’s independent underground scene in the mid-1990s. In 1996, the brothers released their collaborative album "Gun Town’s Finest" through High Wire Records. Produced by Tone in co-operation with both artists, the record embodies the raw New York rap sound of its era, built around heavy drums, dark samples and direct, uncompromising rhymes. Created outside the major-label system and far from the mainstream spotlight, the album remains firmly rooted in the aesthetics of East Coast underground hip-hop. The original vinyl pressing surfaced in limited quantities and has become a sought-after rarity among collectors over the years.
