Madame Star - Looking For A Dame / Coming Through The Floor - 1994

12" - 1994 - Cold Chillin'

Here is the second 12" released on Cold Chillin' by the female emcee Madame Star. The wax came out in 1994 and is composed of 2 singles,  "Looking For A Dame" on the A-side which is the main single and "Coming Through The Floor" on the flip side which is the best track of this 12" and is definitely the reason why to own this cheap wax.
Both singles are produced by Russ Prez and Steven Flagg from Coney Island.

If you're looking for more info about Madame Star, you need to know that Angela Banks-Lowe a.k.a Madame Star was born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn. She was signed in the the early 90s by Cold Chillin' Records and released a first single entitled "Baby's Father / God Bless The Girl". Her album never came out unfortunately, but Russ Prez dropped two unreleased tracks from that era on his "Producer Project Vol.2", released by Chopped Herring Records in 2020.

From what I know, she was still active in the 2000s. In a New York Post article from September 2006, we learnt that she was called the "Social Worker Of Rap" and during the day she worked in Mayor Mike Bloomberg's office. She recorded a single entitled " Four More Years" which was a hip-hop anthem to her boss, New York City's Mayor.
