Demo : The Numbskulls

A few months ago Dj Eclipse uploaded a Kevin Keith & The Dirty Dozen show from February 5, 1994. This show contained the interview and a demo of an unknown group named the Numbskulls, consisted of Boots aka Da Boot Knocker and Crackhead from Edgemere Projects in Far Rockaway, Queens.

No more info about Numbskulls exept the info given by the artists in the interview during the show, but according to Mellow-E who is the guy who talks at the beginning of the Demo, the Numbskulls were also part of an other group called Backdraft from Brooklyn. One of the members of Backdraft was a guy named Smoot, and he met him at Lyricist Lounge ... it's the only info that he can remember about them for now but he's trying to get the contacts... I hope more info will come soon ! Peace

Yassssssssssss, that's what's up! Out of all the random demo tracks I've heard in my life (which is a lot) this one probably more than any other makes me want to hear more from the artist. It's impossible to overstate how dope this joint is. I can't believe these guys didn't get more run back in the day. BTW in the interview preceding the song, they claim the title is "Illy Kids" or some alternative spelling of "Illy Kids". Hard to believe this was recorded almost 30 years ago, and it took that long for it to hit the world on a bigger level than whatever local radio play it got at the time. Props to Eclipse for sharing that episode. More Numbskulls, pleaaaaaaaaaase!!!!!!
