Tom remixes material predominantly from the Masta Ace Incorporated era, as well as other stages in Ace’s career. What makes this project unique is the addition of 2 brand new tracks by Masta Ace, ‘Freedom House’ & ‘Uncle Larry’ which both see Ace in a retrospective mood. 

The album flows like a live show with soundbites and skits from both parties. There’s tracks with Guru, Phonte, Wordsworth, Edo G, Torae, Stricklin and Large Professor. Originally formed around 2003, hip hop instrumentalists Son Of Sam are consisted of John Sam on drums, Joe Sam on bass (and guitar), Richard Halligan on keyboard, sax & flute and Tom Caruana on production, guitar & percussion. In 2011 the group picked 30 of their favourite beats and recorded them properly. Over the following few years the beats were sent to MCs to feature on the tracks. Extra musical elements were added and arrangements were refined and in 2017 they released the album 'Cinder Hill' which was literally 10+ years in the making ... The song 'Come a Long Way' featuring Masta Ace and Large Pro is from this album and will be available on 7" soon with the help of Slice Of Spice. It will also include the Extra P remix !
