Growin Pains - Still Same Game - 1998

12" - 1998 - Home Brew Records 

This record was the second 12" released by the Swedish rapper named Growin Pains a.k.a Iron African. He was also known for being a member of Infinite Mass from Stockholm, Sweden, a crew formed in the early 90s.

This wax came out in 1998 on Home Brew Records and features the tracks "Still Same Game", "You Got Warned" and " Time To Eat", everything produced by Wagie (w/ Scratches by DJ TechNic). It is maybe not as good as his first 12" titled "Stockholm Staal" which was released in 1997 and produced by Rusiak (of Sherlock) but it deserves to be in your collection. By the way it's a pretty good deal, the wax is really cheap !

Sherlock - Sherlock EP - 1996

I was in London this week so I took a moment of my time to visit Cosmos Records London shop based in East London, 324d Hackney Road precisely. If you're looking for Jazz, Funk or Soul records, this place is for you... they 've got a massive collection with lots of good stuff including Japanese pressing editions. The Hip-Hop section isn't really big but you can dig some rare wax, like the 12"  I found ... a sealed copy of the 4-Track EP released by Sherlock on Rooftop Records in 1996.

For those who aren't familiar with this group, Sherlock was a Swedish Hip-Hop group, active between 1995 and 1997. In addition to a handful of singles, they released the album "Made To Measure" in 1997. The original group members were Infrared, Pee Wee, Speedknock and Seb Roc. Shortly before the album's recording, Infrared left the group and was replaced by Rusiak.
