Here is a batch of new videos recently uploaded online...

First video is coming from Evidence who bring us his latest single "Better You" produced by The Alchemist, from the forthcoming project "Unlearning Vol. 1" (more info coming soon...). The second video is dropped by the Australian artists Nelson Dialect & Must Volkoff featuring Krown "Focussing" from the forthcoming sophomore album "Glorious Definitely". "Edo. G & Insight Innovates deliver that raw, jazzy, and true-to-life hip-hop on their self-titled debut album. It’s the culmination of decades of friendship and collaboration, birthed from childhood memories and the early days of the Boston rap scene. And with this 10-track project, both artists sound as hungry and passionate as ever while they deliver one of the year’s best releases to date.

For Edo and Insight, that meant more than just “boom-bap” sounds or tight lyricism—it meant bringing everything to the table, including next-level lyricism. As Insight explains, “This project is focused on punchy drums, bass, attractive melodies, and a realistic life message and story from black men in a slowly changing world.”

You can hear that mission statement on instant highlights “Choose Your Path” and “It Takes Progress,” with the latter serving as the album’s first leak. With good reason, of course, because Insight and Edo admit that it’s one of their favorites from the record. In addition to featuring some of their best rhymes, it provided a way for them to not just sound off on societal issues but also offer some solutions.

But Edo G. & Insight Innovates also succeeds because of the way that simultaneously pays homage to and modernizes hip-hop’s past. There are cultural Easter eggs and outright tributes all over the album, like the absolutely banging “Set It Off (Long Live Kane),” which rightly gives flowers to hip-hop legend Big Daddy Kane. The two also show love to Edo’s own history by reimagining his classic Da Bulldogs joint, “I Got To Have It,” on the standout track “Unite & Let’s All Get Down.”

The Quarter Inch Kings (Verbs & TymE) and Zagnif Nori are back with a brand new single "Failure = Death" featuring Bugsy Da God and DJ Enyoutee.

HELL.USA.NATION - These Days / Stay On Top - 1997

 

12" - 1997 - Snatchman Ent.  

Back in 1997 with the one and only 12" released officially by the group HELL.USA.NATION from Washington DC. The wax came out on  Snatchman Entertainement and consists of the tracks "These Days" on the A-side and "Stay On Top" on the B-side. 

HELL.USA.NATION consisted of Shaquil Taj Allah, K-Low, Navaho Black, DJ Crucial and Redrum who will be known under the name of Dread Tha Ol Head after 2006. 

Redrum and Shaquil were from Fort Washington in PG County Maryland a neighboring suburb of DC. Crucial was from Fairmonts Heights, K-low and Navahjo were from DC. 

The connection happened between all the members of the group through a Studio named Fresh Start. They all were recording at the same studio. Shaquil was the lead Producer. They gave Redrum a Production Deal, so they worked together everyday. They recruited the remaining members from the best artist coming to that studio.

They formed the group in 1992 so don't need to say that they recorded a lot of unreleased material. For the story, they signed with Priority through Pat Charbonnet who was Ice Cube Manager, so they recorded over 25 songs in 1995... but the album never saw the light of day! They got dropped when Ice Cube left Priority... due to Label politics... they offered Redrum a Solo deal but that never materialized other...

After that Navaho Black started Snatchman Entertainment and released the 12", with both tracks "These Dayz" & "Stay On Top" produced by Shaquil Taj Allah.

Rebels To The Grain - There's Something In The Seeds - 2008

Rebels To The Grain is a Los Angeles based Hip-Hop duo consisting of Cheddy (Stuckinthetrees) & MP who also host the critically acclaimed Breakbeats & Rhymes Radio Show on KPFK 90.7 FM. 

In 2008, they released on CD the 13-track album entitled "There's Something In The Seeds", followed by a vinyl version in 2016. The Project was produced by Introbeats, Stuckinthetrees, B-Base, Sigh The Cyclo, 12 Finger Dan, Domi Beats, DJ Vas, Marcus Sebastian, Flyherro, MP & Wrecka Beatz.
