12" - 1993 - Major Flavor Records
"Sounds of Hip-Hop" was the second single released on tape and vinyl in 1993 on Major Flavor Records by Young and Da Résléss, a group from Philly, Pa comprised of the core members Unknown Souljah and Da Young Gun. The rest of the crew consisted of Psycho, Total Kaos and Gold Locz.

This rare 12" is composed of the only track "Sounds Of Hip Hop" available in its 'For The Radio', 'Reslpella', 'For The Dj's', and '40 Oz. Bounce Mix' versions.
Unknown Soulja was originally from Yonkers by way of New Jersey and Da Young Gun was from Philly, Pa. They released a previous single a year earlier titled "Boom Boom Bap" on Res'less Records, and it seems an album entitled "Frummalandownuda" was planned but it never came out. I've sent them both messages to get more info about the group and their story, but no answers unfortunately.
